Well this is not the new news in Pakistan but all the people who hurl abuses at the army got the foot in their mouth as even the trivial civil matters are now being dealt by Army. It is quite ironic that the same institution who has been held responsible for all the bad things that has been happening to Pakistan is once again playing the role of the savior. The ever growing tension between the Doctors and the Punjab Govt does not seem to be ending in the near future.
The deadlock between the Punjab administration and the dissent Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) took a spectacular turn Saturday as the management reached a decision to dismiss all doctors on strike.
Though, the government may have found a provisional explanation to the harsh healthcare crisis being faced by the region.
Upon Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s demand, the Army has proclaim that it will give 150 of its health center to the regional control to cover up for those on strike.
The Army doctor’s office will establish their services from Sunday, and will be performing their responsibility in uniform at the communal hospitals.
According to the military speaker, doctors of the armed forces will not put up with accountability for operational stuff, which would be hold by the provincial government.
This makes me fascinated as we had been doing this all the time, within the country and abroad. I cherish the memories of my active role in the earthquake 2005 in Oakistan and 1990 in Iran. The doctors, when they become soldiers are transformed and motivated. From the cliffs of Siachin to Sonami of Indonesia, their services had been exemplary.
