CIA Offer Rejected by Retired ISI Chief Gen. Pasha

In an interesting advancement, Gen Pasha has come up with a revelation that the US agency CIA offered advice to ISI about the information sharing so that drone attacks by USA can be carried out. But the ISI rejected the offering and in return demanded that intelligence should be handed over to the Pakistani agency, so that they can carry out the operation on their own.

CIA director David Petraeus came up with the offer and had a meeting with then ISI chief, Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha during the January. This was an interesting twist because the parliament has said that the US relationship should be reconsidered. Last week it was demanded in parliament that all the US ties should be ceases including the much hated drone attacks. Pasha added that ISI could not carry out raids with the USA as it was doing In the past. But now Pakistan would demand the intelligence should be given to herself so that they can carry out the attacks in the said places with their own line of action.

Pasha retired on 19th of July vacating his place to Lt Gen Zaheer-ul-Islam. Pasha was widely renowned in the US military circuit and was sort of a favorite of the Pakistani administration until the infamous memo gate scandal. While on the other hand, Zaheer-ul-Islam though he has studies in the USA for some time. Is not widely renowned and he is a bit of an enigma.
