Pakistani Hero Air Marshall Nur Khan 1965 war hero

Air Marshal (retd) Malik Nur Khan, The Hero man of the 1965 Pak-India war, who later provided as the Governor of West Pakistan passed away on Thursday at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Rawalpindi after protracted sickness. Nur Khan was also aspect of the Pakistani it all depends that clashed with the Israeli Air Power during the Six Day War (Arab Israel war 1967).

Air Marshal (retd) Malik Nur Khan (born 22 March 1923) was the Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan Air From from 1965 to 1969. He led the Pakistan air force in accomplishing equality over the three periods larger indian air force on the first day of the 1965 war. Nur Khan belonged to a little Town of Dandi, Tamman, Talagang.

He later provided as the Governor of Western side Pakistan and Chief executive of Pakistan Hockey Federation and Pakistan Cricket Board. Nur Khan was requested in the British Indian Air Force on 6 The month of january 1941. Previously he had joined the Royal Indian Military College at Dehra Dun after finishing his training at Aitchison Higher training, Lahore.

Nur Khan was also a associate of the National Assembly from 1985 until 1988. He competitive in 1988 political election on a PPP admission from NA 44 Chakwal II but was not effective. After defeat in the 1988 elections he determined to stop working from country’s politics and his relation Malik Mumtaz Khan Tamman and Malik Allah Dad Awan started contesting elections from the same constituency. Significant amongst his projects before partition was that of a trip leader in No 4 Squadron. In the RPAF, he told the PAF School and, as an air commodore, of No. 1 Team at Peshawar. He also had a stint at the Air Head office as theAir Headquarters as the Assistant Chief of Staff Air.
Nur Khan was also a part of the contingent that clashed with the Israeli Air Power during the Six Day War. Israel President Ezer Weizman, who was also Commander of the Israeli Air Force and the Minister of Defense of Israel,, authored in his life story that: “He was a formidable fellow and I was glad that he was Pakistani and not Egyptian”. Nur Khan was the Air Marshal of Pakistan Air Force, Governor of West Pakistan and the Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines. In 1960, PIA brought in its first jetliner (a Boeing 707-321 rented from Pan Am) under Nur Khan. Nur Khan was PIA’s Handling Manager from 1959 to 1965. He came out on top to make PIA effective time frame within six decades. Under his charming and mindset authority PIA became one of the best and well known commercial airways on the planet. Under his period PIA became the first Asian airline to work jet planes.

    He was a legend and dedicated himself for the country. He became perhaps the last powerful governor of the West Pakistan, as martial law was imposed by Gen M Yahyah Khan. He presided the dissolution of one unit and took military action against Baluchistan. He was nephew of Malik Amir Mohammad Khan, who had also been the Governor of the West Pakistan and his uncle did flourish under cover of Field Marshal M Ayyub Khan. In his later life he also joined politics but his role was not that active as it was his predecessor Air Marshal M Asghar Khan.
