The Supreme Court of Pakistan convicts Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Thursday throughout the declaration of a decision in the disapproval actions against him and sentence him till the increasing of court.
The bench establishes Gilani at fault of contempt of court for refuse to resurrect corruption cases against the president, but gave him only a figurative condemnation of a few minutes’ arrest in the courtroom, while he did not take delivery of any jail period.
“For reasons to be recorded later, the prime minister is found guilty of contempt for willfully flouting the direction of the Supreme Court,” believed Justice Nasirul Mulk.
A seven-member bench, headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk announced the outcome and convict him for violating Contempt of Court Ordinance 2003 section 5 and the charges framed aligned with him were for on purpose disobeying the court’s instructions and to ridicule it.
The prime minister was charged with dislike by the top court in February for refusal to inscribe to the Swiss establishment to ask them to reopen graft cases not in favor of President Asif Ali Zardari.
Minister for National Regulation & Services Firdous Ashiq Awan said that a particular cabinet meeting will be convene which will be chair by Gilani and President Zardari will in addition be present at the meeting, who inwards in Islamabad on Wednesday nighttime.
